Copy and original

Royal Decree 1619/2012 requires you to keep a copy of the invoices you issue. The customer keeps the copy you hand over. They are not two sales: they are the two sides of the same document. Losing the copy does not release you from the book. A duplicate, if the customer’s copy has to be replaced, is still that same invoice.

  • You: the copy, in the book of issued invoices.
  • The customer: the original.
  • The same invoice, not a second operation.

It stays in the account

Factura Fácil keeps the issued invoice in the account, with its number and its PDF. That storage does not erase the duty to keep it and does not replace the copy the customer has. You can generate the PDF again if it needs to be replaced.

Common questions

Do I keep the original and send a copy?

The original is the recipient’s. You keep the copy. Both copies are the same invoice.

Is the app the invoice book?

It stores the invoices you created. The book of issued invoices rests on those copies. It does not file the book for you.
